Feronia, ancient goddess of nature, guardian of the woods, crops and of all agricultural produce, she also ensured that such produce could be traded along the river routes and by sea. She is also the goddess to whom Poggio Rosso entrusts the safeguarding of one of its most delicate and sensitive vines – the Viognier – in the hope that it continues to astound and helps reshape the countryside.
